About Me:

I have obtained my Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Mysore in 2009. I am the recipient of University Post Graduation Fellowship for Ph.D. from University of Mysore in the year 2003. My primary research interests are in Condensed matter Physics and Positron annihilation Spectroscopy. However, I am also working on Polymer Nanocomposites & X-ray Crystallography. I joined NIE as an Associate Professor in July 2017. I have 22 research articles published in peer reviewed International Journals to my credit and I have authored a book entitled “Free volume and Contact Lens Biopolymers” published by VDM Verlag, Germany. I am a recipient of  RGS/F award funded by Vision Group of Science & Technology, Govt. of Karnataka in the year 2017-18. I am a recognized reviewer for various journals such as Journal of Microbiological Methods, Chemical Data Collections, Journal of Molecular Structure, European Polymer Journal, etc. I am actively involved as the coordinator for various committees in the college such as NIE – CRD, TEQIP – III, Editorial Board of NIE newsletter, Creativity Team Head, Technieks, CICC and have been organizing many extra-curricular programs like Celebration of World Students’ Day, International Women’s day and National Science Day in the college.
