About Me: |
I worked at The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore in the department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering for nearly 35 years and retired as Professor in the year 2019. Prior to my joining NIE, I had served as lecturer at SIT, Tumkur for nearly 2 years. I received my M.Tech degree in Control, Guidance and Instrumentation from IIT,Madras in the year 1987. I worked under the guidance of Prof.K.R.Padiyar at IISc, Bengaluru and was awarded Ph.D in the area of Power Systems in 2005. My primary research interests are in Power system Dynamics and FACTS Controllers. I have published several papers in international conferences and journals, including a paper in IEEE Transactions on Power systems and one in Electrical Power and Energy Systems (Elsevier). I have attended several conferences as participant and resource person. I have taught both PG and UG students and guided several M.Tech projects. I worked as head of the department for 5 years from 2011 to 2016. I have also visited several institutes in the country as a member of NBA expert committee. Currently I am working as Professor (full time contract) in the Electrical & Electronics Engineering department |
