About Me:

My primary research interests are in Building Fire Safety, Behaviour of building materials under elevated temperature, and Repair and rehabilitation of buildings. I am involved in several major research and consultancy works at Department of Civil Engineering. Founder Director of Building Fire Research Center (BFRC), this center is recognised as NABL Accredited Laboratory for testing fire extinguishers, doors, and so on. It’s the South India’s only fire testing laboratory. Some of the academic responsibilities such as Head of Department, Dean (Academics), and Principal were successfully completed at NIE. Also involves in several major Research and Consultancy works at Department of Civil Engineering. Project Investigator (PI) for on-going project “Software tool for Fire Safety Audit to Quantify the Fire Safety Index of any Building” funded by Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS). I am recognised as research supervisor in VTU and AICTE.
