About Me: |
I am, Dr. Pavithra G, working as Assistante Professor in the Department of Chemistry at The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, since August 2024. My main area of research interest on synthetic organic chemistry, nanotechnology, crystallographic studies and medicinal chemistry research. I was synthesized various fused pyrazole and oxadiazine heterocyclic analogs for diverse pharmacological applications, such as anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. This research work has led to build up a library of various heterocyclic analogs in synthetic organic community. Further, I have published 21 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals. In addition, I have presented 6 research articles in National and International conferences and seminars. I am a recipient of following awards and honors; “UGC-NON NET Fellowship Award - 2013” New Delhi and “UGC Minor Research Project Awarded - 2012”, New Delhi, Second Rank with first class in Master degree (M.Sc. Chemistry). I am also a life member of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). In addition to teaching, I have taken up responsibilities, which includes Board of Studies (UG), JSS College for Women (Autonomous), Saraswathipuram, Mysuru, (2012-13). And also I was supervisor for M. Sc. Student dissertation work (2018). When comes to my earlier experience before joining NIE I was working as Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry (UG), JSS College for Women (Autonomous), Saraswathipuram, Mysore, (2010-13) and Assistant Professor in PG department of Chemistry, JSS College of Arts, Commerce (Autonomous), BN road Mysuru, (2016-19). |
