Industry assisted learning
Objectives :
- To make students learn in groups and arrive at solutions to Engineering problems.
- To create an environment to assist weak students by bright students.
- To enhance the ability to work in a team.
- Better understanding of concepts through peer learning.
Practice:
Tutorial, project work and term paper groups are made such that each group comprises bright students and weak students.
- Tutorials: Bright students assist the weak students in problem solving and for better understanding of concepts.
- Project work and term paper: Students are advised to share the total work involved and then consolidate by joint discussion.
Objectives :
- To enhance ability to solve real world problems.
- Expose students to emerging areas of science and technology for better employment opportunities.
Practice:
- Industry-attached laboratories: Industrial controls laboratory has been set up in collaboration with M/s. ADR Controls LLP, Bengaluru who had involved starting from designing the laboratory course.
- Partial delivery of courses:
- Biomedical Signal Processing course is offered as an elective subject for UG in collaboration with M/s. Skanray technologies, Mysuru.
- Industry driven electives are being offered for PG from 2019-21 batch.
- Internship/Industrial training: Internship/Industrial training has been made a part of the curriculum for UG and PG programmes.
- Industrial visits: Industry visits are organized regularly for UG and PG students.
