Examinations

The National Institute of Engineering is an autonomous institute, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The institute formulates academic curriculum as per the needs of the industry and new developments in the various fields. The examination for the autonomous courses is conducted by the Institute.

The evaluation process is carried out in two stages. Continuous Internal Evaluation [CIE] during the progress of the semester and Semester End Examination [SEE] conducted at the end of the semester. The examination section conducts the Semester End Examination and the evaluation process in coordination with the departments. The entire examination process is based on a completely automated system. After the successful completion of a course, the institute recommends the student to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, to award the degree in the respective branch. Controller of Examination and his team at examination section carry out the complete examination process in coordination with all departments

I have been assigned with the responsibility to look after the affairs of Examinations as Controller of Examinations (CoE).

Examination is a fair way of accessing the knowledge which a student posses of a respective course or subject. With examinations, a person is able to know his level of Performance and Knowledge.

Examination provides encouragement to people for Learning and Working. It also creates a sense of Competition which pushes the limit of a person's ability to do more and to do best.

I extend my heartfelt wishes to all the candidates who, aspire to compete for Undergraduate and Post graduate programs and my sincere advice to them is to attend all lectures, study, work hard, upgrade their skills and get succeed in their career.

I strongly believe that hard work, sincerity and integrity are the key elements for a successful career, happy and satisfied life.
