About the IDEA Lab
The AICTE IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab at NIE is a state-of-the-art facility established to foster innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning among students and faculty. It serves as an interdisciplinary hub where ideas are transformed into working prototypes and real-world solutions.
Facilities
- Embedded Systems Lab: Equipped with microcontrollers, development boards (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32), sensors, and IoT platforms for building smart systems and connected devices.
- PCB Design & Fabrication: Dedicated workstations with PCB design software and in-house fabrication capability for designing and manufacturing printed circuit boards.
- Rapid Prototyping: 3D printers (FDM and SLA), laser cutters, and CNC machines enabling quick prototyping of mechanical and electronic enclosures.
- Advanced Manufacturing: Access to precision machining tools, welding equipment, and material testing facilities for developing production-ready prototypes.
