Dress Code For Students
- Wear ID card failing which entry in to the Institute premises/ classroom/laboratory and library will be denied
- Maintain discipline and follow the rules and regulations of the Institute
- Be respectful to your Teaches/friends and hostel staff/management.
- Read the notice board / website (both at your college and the hostel) regularly.
- Be security conscious and take care of your valuables especially Cash, Mobile Phones, Laptop and other valuables.
- Carry your valuables along with you whenever you proceed on leave/vacation.
- Keep the campus clean and hygienic.
- Use decent dressing.
- Keep informed about change in the addresses, phone numbers, e-mail ids local contact addresses, phone numbers, and contact persons
- Ragging inside / outside the campus.
- Possession of Fire arms and daggers etc.
- Use of Cigarettes, Alcohols, drugs, etc.
- Use of Crackers, explosives and ammunition etc.
- Misusing college & hostel premises/facilities for activities other than studies.
- Playing loud music in the room which may disturb studies of colleagues / neighbours.
- Making noise and raising slogans.
- Keeping electrical appliances, other than authorized ones.
- Involvement in ethnic, sectarian and other undesirable activities.
- Students of NIE can avail the Gym facility present in the administrative block of NIE at a subsidized cost.
- An excellent Indoor sports campus provides the infrastructure for an array of sport activities.
- The Health Centre, with an in-house Doctor provides a means for giving first aid to students in case of any medical requirements arising at the campus.

Clubs & Activities
Its objective is to organise extra-curricular activities for the benefit of students, beside promotion of corporate life among the students, encouragement of healthy discussions of current problems and development of talents in fine arts. Also, every department has its own, association. Such associations are arranging technical and literary talks, quiz programmes and visits to industries. The student magazine of the college, Mysore Engineer, published annually, is edited by a Board comprising of students. It provides a platform to showcase the hidden creative talents in the students .
