Academic Requirement
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
Entrance Exam
Valid score in CET / COMEDK / JEE Main. Seat allotment done by KEA or COMEDK respectively.
Language Proficiency
Proficiency in reading and writing English is mandatory for all programmes.
Autonomous Institution
NIE is an autonomous institution under VTU for UG courses. Follows Government of Karnataka and AICTE guidelines.
Management Quota
Limited management quota seats available. Based on merit. Contact the Admissions Office for details.
SC/ST / OBC
Reservations as per Government of Karnataka norms for CET seats. Category certificates required.
Admission Process
CET (Karnataka)
- 1Apply online for CET through the KEA website (cetonline.karnataka.gov.in)
- 2Attend the CET examinations as per KCET Schedule
- 3Receive ranking after evaluation
- 4Complete option entry in the KEA portal
- 5Report to NIE with all documents after seat allotment
COMEDK
- 1Visit www.comedk.org and register on the official portal
- 2Read the brochure carefully for rules, eligibility, and exam process
- 3Fill the application form online through COMEDK portal
- 4Appear for the COMEDK UGET exam on the scheduled date
- 5Participate in counselling and report to NIE with documents
Management Quota
- 1Submit the Management Quota application at www.nie.ac.in
- 2Counsellor verifies documents and discusses the process
- 3After Principal's approval, payment details are shared
- 4Submit SSLC & PUC marks cards (originals), signed undertaking, and payment proof
- 5Receive temporary seat confirmation via email after payment
